Better chance having a successful job as a cosmetologist or going into PR/marketing in Michigan? I'm planning a career change, but since I live in Michigan (where the economy is in a really pitiful condition), I'm not sure what would be a better option--going back to college for PR/marketing or doing what a majority of my friends have done and getting my cosmetology license. I know that people will always need their hair cut--but can you really make a successful career out of it? And with PR/marketing, would I be paying for school just to end up having to move out of state to find a job? Serious responses, especially from those in Michigan, greatly appreciated.

How can I find freelance marketing/PR work? I currently work in marketing/PR and am planning on quitting my full-time job in a few months to go back to school and earn a second bachelor's in civil engineering (and thus change careers). Grad school for marketing, pr, or advertising? Hi folks, So I'm in a bind, or 'that moment in my life'. Come spring I will be a graduate from college. I'm a communications/film major from a university with a good reputation for those programs, but my GPA isn't that high (slightly over 3). PR/Marketing or Law schools? i am recent graduate from 4 yr university with BA in communication. i will probably start to look for jobs in marketing or public relations.
